Although we provide full transparency by showing the four sub grades your card received as well as grader's notes for each card on the Certificate Verification page, it is not simply an average of the four sub grades, as this may skew the overall grade. We employ an algorithm that calculates the final grade based on the four subgrades displayed on the front label of the card holder. The lowest subgrade is particularly significant, as it highlights the most noticeable defect and carries the most weight in determining the overall grade. Note that an overall grade will very rarely exceed the lowest sub grade by 2 full grades.

Corners = 9.5
Edges = 9
Surface = 6
Final Grade = 7
It is important to note that the algorithm is a consistent set formula used to calculate the final grade and is based on what grades each sub grade was given.
Once you complete your submission through your account under "Pricing and Fees", you can ship your order to us through any courier of your choice. We do suggest you use CLEAN penny sleeves (to avoid any dust/dirt appearing on your card) and semi-rigid card holders like "Card Savers" for shipping your cards to us. We also suggest you clean your cards from any dust, dirt or fingerprints as this will affect their surface grade. We also suggest you use painter's tape on the top of the openings of the top loader or semi rigid card holder to avoid any shifting and exposure during transit to our office.

2. Grades: We have compiled a strict and diligent grading process where each card must pass multiple checkpoints during the grading process. We have made our parameters available to all our customers where they can see what our graders use to determine their cards sub grades.
3. Process: We provide our customers with a transparent process of where their submission is along the way. Customers can log into their account and track at what stage their submission is in, as well as get instant email updates along the way.
We commit to provide our customers with a maximum 15 business day turnaround time from the date your order was received in our office. If this service level cannot be met, you will be notified once we are aware of any delay and will provide you with a new turnaround time at that time.

Cards are returned to the customer and are not graded. You will still be charged at the regular price. Please ensure you screen your cards carefully prior to submitting.
Everything with TGA is automated, including the payment process. Once your order has been completed and prepared for shipping, you will be notified via email. You can then log into your account and pay for shipping to your home address.
Of course! All orders leave the TGA Office with tracking numbers, either from UPS or Canada Post, depending on who you have selected during the checkout process. The tracking number will be updated in your order, and you can view the tracking progress through your account. All orders will be shipped with signature required for peace of mind.
Yes! You can select insurance to be added to your payment at time of shipping back to your home.
Shipping fees are approximate and will be based on the amount of cards and destination:
10 cards = approximately $30.00
20 cards = approximately $35.00
50 cards = approximately $45.00

Sorry, we do not offer any service where we clean your cards prior to grading them. We suggest all customers ensure they submit their cards in as clean a condition as possible prior to shipping them to our office. This will assist greatly in their overall grades.

Yes! All orders must be entered into your account prior to shipping them to our office. We do provide a White Glove Service and can enter in your cards for you, however please note we do charge $2/card + taxes for this service.

Once you receive the email advising you that your order is ready to be shipped, you have 90 days to complete your payment for your order. After 90 days, your order is deemed to be abandoned and you will no longer be able to retrieve or pay for your order or your cards.
We grade cards in four areas: centering, corners, edges, and surface. Each subgrade is calculated using a formula, and the lowest subgrade carries the most weight, highlighting the card’s most noticeable flaw.
Unfortunately no. All cards allocated in a specific time period must be used within that time period. There are no carry over of unused submissions or cards allowed.
